Language like this almost takes the reader there, and again makes the reader identify with the character. He uses references to colour, texture and sound to give the reader an understanding of what it felt like to be there.

Even though the United States prides itself on being a staunchly democratic nation, it is no soften than a tyrannical government if it steals the right of freedom of expression from its citizens. Most people do not wish to live in a ships company oppressed by an all-powerful government that gives them very little freedom. She then continues to buy a pair of gloves and a couple magazines completing her breakdown of personal responsibility and self control in the clothing department. She then continues on to a cute little restaurant, and continues to splurge there, because of course, she hadnt eaten before leaving home. She then gets in a cable car, and heads for home, wishing that it would continue on forever, never taking a stop.This whole encounter is a realistic view on how those who are not used to having riches, or those who used to have riches, and wish to return to their old life, are apt to become irresponsible with the money to which they have been blessed. It can certainly be easy to lose oneself to the mundane pleasures, especi ally if they arent thinking clearly due to fatigue or hunger. Especially during this time period, the people lived very frugally, since they didnt have a high-pitched income, and this could be very grinding on those who are used to living in high opulence. Its so important to remember that with great wealthiness comes great responsibility. And this is very apparent in A Pair of Silk Stockings.

Due to the fact that this activity was error-sensitive, the lab itself was very emotionally-provocative. I personally made one big error in regards to counting, and my group was obligate to redo the whole counting again in the hopes of getting it finally correct. Frustrated would be the least of what I truly felt during the process of redoing. Therefore, this lab couldve been shaped into a much better activity if I get to do it with my laptop. This will surely save a lot of time while at the same time be a bit less annoying and tedious. Furthermore, doing this lab on a computer will also establish anyone an easier access to Google Drive or any means of recording medium. Through these basic amenities, I could always jot down things that compose my lab cover up there and then. Doing this entire lab physically with all the tokens and bowls will be troublesome to say the least. It would be way better if this lab was translated ele ctronically onto a computer.
